Homeopathy

Jackie Moore, Lic.I.S.H., I.S.Hom

Mary HeaneyHomoeopathy is a safe holistic system of medicine that works by stimulating the body's own powerful natural healing process to treat all kinds of conditions from birth to old age.  Homoeopathy stimulates the body's immune system to be strengthened against all illness, not just a single disease.

As a fully qualified and registered Homeopath, practicing for a number of years, Jackie treats people of all ages covering a wide variety of problems, including skin conditions, respiratory complaints, anxiety and hormonal related disorders.  For further information on what can be treated visit Jackie's website at www.jmhom.com .

Homoeopathy is about restoring health to the whole person.  Therefore in a consultation all aspects of the person are addressed, not just the physical symptoms.  Your initial consultation will take about 1.5 hours.  Follow up consultations will be approximately 35 - 45 minutes and normally spaced at six week intervals.  The initial consultation fee is ?70, with the fee for follow up consultations being ?60.  The cost of the Homeopathic remedies prescribed is included in the consultation fee.

This helps alleviate many acute and chronic conditions, including - but not limited to - stress, insomnia, poor circulation, hormone imbalances, pain and digestive problems.

Holistic Massage can be relaxing or invigorating as required. Helps reduce stress relieves aches and pains, clears blockages, tones and aids detoxification.

Shiatsu

Helena O Loughlin. (Shiatsu and Bio-Energy Practitioner)

Dip Soc., RPSSI

Helena O'LoughlinMarried to Kevin and we have two children. I started doing yoga in '94 with my great friend and yoga teacher AnnMarie Hynes and have been practicing yoga ever since. During this time I stumbled across Bio-Energy and went on to study with Michael Dalton of the Bio-Energy Assoc. and received my diploma in '97. I loved this way of working with the energies but after a year of practicing with clients I sought to deepen my understanding of the body.

After an introductory course on Shiatsu I found what I was looking for. I then completed my three years studies receiving a diploma in Shiatsu in 2000. It was to broaden my understanding of the physical, emotional and mental body and why pain and disease visit us. It thought me how Shiatsu can alleviate those symptoms and bring balance and relieve tension and stiffness. Over the past five years, using this therapy in run both corporate and private world the clients have found great relief from their symptoms

Shiatsu is a whole body treatment which literally translated means 'Finger Pressure'. It involves comfortable pressure from the thumbs and palms applied to the body's energy channels and Acupressure points. This is a hands-on therapy where the client is fully clothed. It includes gentle stretches and rotations of the limbs and joints. In other words 'Acupuncture without the needles' and is very helpful for headaches, neck and shoulders tension and digestive problems.

Acupuncture

Terry Managhan Lic.Ac, MBAcC

Terri qualified as a Five Element Acupuncturist from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, UK, in 1995 and then continued her studies at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, UK, where she learned to integrate the clinical skills of Five Element and Yin Yang Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 2001.  She then practiced acupuncture in the UK until 1999 when she returned to Ireland to set up her practice here.

The ancient Chinese understood that positive emotions can keep us healthy whilst negative emotions (stress) significantly and unfavourably affects our health.  Our bodies manifest our emotions.  Chinese medicine is an energetic medicine and teaches that it is our Qi or life-force which transforms and protects everything in our bodies and minds.  When Qi is blocked stagnation occurs.  Stuck emotions cause the Qi of the body to stagnate and illness results.  The principal aim of acupuncture is, in treating the whole person, to stimulate the body's own healing response to help to restore its natural balance.
